FiftyForward Bordeaux Visits Renaissance Thrift shop

Shoppers from FiftyForward Bordeaux find treasures at the Renaissance Center Thrift Shop.

The Renaissance Center Thrift Shop was thrilled to host our neighbors from FiftyForward Bordeaux during their monthly Thrifting Day Trip, led by Program Director Kelly “Kiki.” Each month, this group of seniors explores different thrift shops around the city, and we were honored to be their stop this time.

From the moment they arrived, the store buzzed with excitement. Guests browsed aisles filled with décor, clothing, books, accessories, and even a unique tech find that sparked big smiles. There’s something special about thrifting—every turn offers a surprise—and this group enjoyed every moment.

Our Renaissance Center volunteers play a huge role in creating this experience. They work faithfully to sort and price donations, making quality items available at affordable prices. Their efforts help ensure that gently used items get a second life. After all, what leaves one home can brighten another.

Laughter and conversation filled the store as friends compared finds, shared stories, and encouraged one another. What started as a shopping trip quickly became a moment of connection and joy.

The Renaissance Center, a 501(c)(3) community center serving adults 60+, is located in Sylvan Park at 4805 Park Ave, Nashville, TN 37209. We are grateful to the FiftyForward Bordeaux community for spending the day with us and look forward to welcoming them again soon.
