The Giving Store at Cockrill Elementary

We love Thelma and her dedication to the students at Cockrill Elementary!

For six years, Thelma Cooper, longtime secretary at Cockrill Elementary, has led The Giving Store, a holiday tradition allowing more than 300 students to choose three gifts for someone special. Each gift is wrapped by the child with help from volunteers, making the experience personal and meaningful.

The event teaches children the joy of giving, builds confidence, and creates memorable moments for both students and volunteers. With 23 years of service, Thelma remains a constant, smiling presence at the school - proving her role is far more than a job.
